Now this school year I was teaching 2nd grade which started off not so great in regards to the students. Yet after evaluation and some rearranging we managed to get things a little better. It was still a LOT of work with a LOT of behavior management. Yet when I look at the children and how MUCH they have achieved in just one year, my heart is filled with joy and I am very proud of my students.
When I say that I am proud of them, I really mean that I am extremely proud seeing the circumstances that happened in September. You can already feel it coming right? Yes, HURRICANE IRMA!!! My class was destroyed, my personal chair broke, and a lot of teaching books got wet and moldy.... sigh..... That was terrible. That was horrible. The before, during, and especially after which still affects more than have the island and school even up to NOW! (August 2018)
None the less we wanted Alexia's 2nd birthday to be memorable even if we had to make cut backs in the grocery shopping. She did have a blast.

So every thing got more and more expensive. So we had to think of ways to get some money in so it could help us pay off some of our extra bills thanks to IRMA. After thinking of all the things we could do we decided to start taking some children for afternoon school that focuses on swimming. we started off with 1 and ended up with 4 children. Whom now can actually swim, some already learning to dive. SOOOO we definitely continuing this for the next school year.
Of course we cannot forget the first birthday of Ajeyla.
